David Hockney, one of the most popular and influential British artists of the twentieth century returns to the Tate Britain for his most comprehensive exhibition yet, an extensive selection of his most famous works celebrating great achievements in painting, drawing, print, photography, and video across six decades.

Approaching his 80th birthday, Hockney continues to change his style and methods, embracing new technologies and image making techniques. From his portraits and images of Los Angeles swimming pools, to his drawings and photography, Yorkshire landscapes and most recent paintings – some of which have never been publicly exhibited – this exhibition shows how the roots of each new direction have grown from preceding works. Don’t miss the opportunity to see all of these works exhibited together.
This exhibition is organised collaboratively by Tate Britain, the Centre Pompidou, Paris and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York
