SACI Alum, Jean-Pierre Roy, is part of a traveling group exhibition, Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose. Jean-Pierre Roy, born in Santa Monica, California in 1974, is a Brooklyn-based artist. Jean-Pierre studied at Studio Arts College International in 1994, received his BFA from Loyola Marymount University (1996), and his MFA from the New York Academy of Art (2002) where he was awarded a one-year fellowship from the school. In the 2015 October issue (V. 37) of Hi-Fructose Magazine, Jean-Pierre’s work was featured on the cover and in an extensive article about his career as an artist, including his formative experience studying at SACI (p. 84-95). Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose marks the tenth anniversary of the popular art magazine, Hi-Fructose. Highlighted are 51 of the most remarkable contemporary artists featured between its pages.

This one-of-a-kind exhibition brings together artists whose work is not usually exhibited together. Each one is a master of their media and among the best in their field. They use their art as a tool to convey their vision, rather than as the source of their investigations. Their different locations, perspectives, and approaches to art-making lends each artist a unique voice and vision. Turn the Page offers the opportunity to view their work beyond the flat world of paper and digital screens. Connect one-on-one with some of the most the significant art of our time and the cultural landscape in which it was created.

Artists include: Jennybird Alcantara, Barnaby Barford, Chris Berens, Tim Biskup, Tiffany Bozic, Ray Caesar, Victor Castillo, Beth Cavener, Kevin Cyr, Wim Delvoye, Gehard Demetz, Brian Dettmer, Fulvio Di Piazza, Ron English, Shepard Fairey, AJ Fosik, Camille Rose Garcia, Jeremy Geddes, Sam Gibbons, Femke Hiemstra, Scott Hove, James Jean, Audrey Kawasaki, Josh Keyes, Kris Kuksi, Travis Louie, Kate MacDowell, MARS-1, Marco Mazzoni, Brian McCarty, Tara McPherson, Scott Musgrove, Yoshitomo Nara, Lisa Nilsson, Olek, Parra, Marion Peck, Jean-Pierre Roy, Mark Ryden, Todd Schorr, Greg “Craola” Simkins, Tracey Snelling, Jeff Soto, Kazuki Takamatsu, Gary Taxali, Mark Dean Veca, Nicola Verlato, Wayne White, Kehinde Wiley, Martin Wittfooth and Erwin Wurm.
